Overview


On the PLOSSYS 5 server, execute the following mandatory configuration steps:


Open the Firewall Ports

As of version 5.3.5 of PLOSSYS 5, the firewall ports are no longer opened during the installation but have to be opened manually after the installation.


Configure a Shared Replica Set

In MongoDB, a shared replica set has to be configured as of PLOSSYS 5.2.1. For how to configure the shared replica set, refer to the SEAL-specific MongoDB documentation.


Initialize the Database (Only for Single Server Mode)

In the single server mode, you have to initialize the database after configuring the shared replica set. For more information refer to Configuring a Shared Replica Set. For the steps required for the cluster mode, refer to Connecting the Databsase Servers to the Cluster.
